Service Learning Requirement

Robert B. Miller Sr. valued the idea of giving back to the community. He felt a strong obligation to assist causes financially, but also to become personally involved in those activities that made a difference in Battle Creek.

That same idealistic approach is an integral part of the learning process at Miller College, as students, faculty and administrators are required to give back something to the community.

Students must spend one hour of service for every hour they are enrolled (a three credit hour class requires three hours of service learning or service to one’s community). Each hour spent in community service must be documented in an electronic portfolio as part of the Senior Seminar.

Questions should be addressed to an academic or admissions advisor.
