JANETT BUNDY OFFERS SUMMER WORKSHOP FOR TEACHERS AT MILLER COLLEGE

Teachers from Calhoun County and anywhere in southwest Michigan can earn professional certification credits through the Miller College Institute this August by registering for “Instructional Strategies That Work” with Janett Bundy.

Throughout the 5-day workshop Janett will challenge teachers to reflect on their current classroom practices and develop new strategies in light of the best practices that are modeled for them in the course reading and activities. The course is based around Robert Marzano’s best-selling book, “Classroom Instruction That Works: Research-Based Strategies for Increasing Student Achievement” and is offered August 2nd – 6th from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m at Miller College in the Mawby Center, 450 North Avenue in Battle Creek. Dr. Sean Kottke, Chair of the Binda School of Education stated, “It has been strategically scheduled later than other Miller College Institute summer course offerings in order to catch teachers as they are beginning to plan in earnest for the new school year, providing them with an intellectual on-ramp for making next year their best year ever.”

Janett Bundy has experience in classroom teaching at all levels, as well as experience in teaching in general education and special education. She is skilled in facilitation of professional development, grant writing, program and curriculum development and project management. She is a co-owner, with husband Gary Bundy, of Educational Consultants Group, Teachers Training Teachers.

For more information on the Miller College Summer Institute and other course offerings call Dr. Sean Kottke at (269) 660-8021, ext. 2703 or email him at kottkes@millercollege.edu.
